Next month I will be beginning my journey on the Pacific Crest Trail–I’m SO excited! The PCT spans from Mexico to Canada, traversing 3 states (California, Oregon and Washington) along the way. If you’d like to follow my journey, you can check back here for regular updates from the trail or visit my YouTube channel where I will be vlogging during the trip. Stay tuned!
Happy Trails–
Dixie 🙂
I’m so jealous. Have fun 🙂
Awesome! And like the new look of the website too!
Hey Dixie,
I’m so looking forward to your new adventure. I followed your AT hike from day one and absolutely loved it! I am old (only seven years from retirement) but have plans to complete a through hike of the AT as soon as I retire. I have completed several section hikes of the AT already; just not a through hike yet. Also I am a fellow Alabamian (living in Birmingham). I have completed the Alabama portion of the Pinhoti Trail which ultimately connects to the Benton McKay Trail which connects to the AT. I may just continue on from where I left off from there when I retire.
I wish you all the success in the world. You are such a tremendous inspiration to many hikers and wanna be hikers! I know you will have a tremendous time hiking the PCT. It has a much different atmosphere and varied scenery from the AT. Enjoy!!
So happy for you! Can’t wait to see your blog on this!
Looking forward to following your adventure on the PCT this summer. I’m hitting the JMT at the end of July SOBO so maybe our paths will cross. Good luck!
Good Luck! Love the vlog. Be safe!
So excited for you, and really looking forward to following your adventure in YouTube!
Hey Dixie. I keep refreshing your site but not sure when you’re starting. Are you sharing your start date?
Where are you? I hope all is well?
Hey Jessica! I hope you are having the time of your life!!! Stay safe and I will be following as you go!!! Happy birthday ????
When are you starting? Worried about the gargantuan snowpack in the Sierras?
I saw that someone “let the cat out of the bag” and that you’ve started your hike! Good luck to you and I’ll be excited to read your posts and watch your videos!
Hi Jessica!
I hope you are having the time of your life hiking the PCT.
I’ve read your e-book, watched all of your video posts and blog. Your have a gift for inspiring people to get moving and live life to the fullest.
In 2019 my son Patrick will be headed out to hike the AT. This has been his dream as long as I can remember.
Deep down I would love to join him. I’m 50 years old and disabled. I have rheumatoid, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia and several other medical issues.
Every day I stare out the window and dream can I do it.
This year my husband, Patrick and I are going to Trail Day’s and check out Grayson Highlands State Park to see the wild ponies.
My longest hike was 7miles.
I guess that’s a start.
Keep on truckin Dixie. Thank you so much for everything you do to help hikers and dreamers.
Stay safe, enjoy ????
Good luck Dixie from a fellow Alabamian. Will definitely be following your blog & vlog.
I hope that you will video your stops at shelters and while you are off the trail as well as on the trail like you did on the AT. A lot videos that I have watched strictly stick to the trail. I wish you the best and look forward to your updates. Safe trip.
